What is a communication protocol?
A communication protocol gathers the rules describing how to transmit or exchange data, especially on a network. Among these protocols, there are, for example, WiFi (Internet Protocol) and the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP).
These protocols allow different network devices to communicate with each other. They are used in analog and digital communications and allow the transfer of files, data or internet access.
LoRaWAN protocol
LOng RAnge Wide Area Network (LoRaWAN) is a telecommunications radio protocol that allows the transmission of small data pack at low speed, particularly suited to connected objects (IoT). It thus enables wireless communication between equipment via gateways and thus constitutes a low-consumption wide area network (LPWAN).
BLE protocol
Le BLE - Bluetooth Low Energy - is a communications protocol mainly used to transmit small amounts of data over short distances (low bandwidth). It is primarily intended for connected objects (IoT) and portable devices (smartphones, tablets, etc.).
Thanks to these protocols, our e-green sensor can communicate the collected data (current or temperature) to the mobile application or the dashboard.
