Its experience and skills in the manufacture of magnetic cores enable it to determine and better understand the different applications in which these special windings are used. 1. Power electronics are part of many fields of application, industry, domestic applications, electricity distribution, drives and battery-powered applications. The technical objective is to optimize the use and regulation of energy in order to improve performance. To do this, currents and voltages have to be controlled and this implies that they have to be measured accurately. Measurement is also a major factor in security, and in metering and checking networks or energy-management systems. Mechanical aspects can be designed at the special request of our clients. We design meter transformers of the 'open and/or closed' type according to the type of use concerned. The measuring range of current transformers can extend to several hundred amps with an accuracy of 0.1%. The measuring range of voltage transformers can extend to several hundred volts with an accuracy of 0.1%. The mechanical aspect of the component may vary with a wide range of fixings according to the user's requirements.

These inductive components are designed with cores made of various grades. They are used in applications for control of thyristors, IGBT and GTO, requiring high levels of performance. They find an application in the railway, electricity distribution and industrial sectors. TCT produces small dimensions transformers in a wide range of operating temperatures, with low interference capacities, strong dielectric insulation and a leakage inductance which is as low as possible. TCT controls the level of partial discharges, guaranteeing the ageing of over-moulded products whilst achieving the best technical and economic balance.

Manufactured up to several thousand watts with the best cost - yield ratio, small dimensions and a frequency of 50 kHz and more. These Push-Pull and Forward power transformers can be found in power supply, converters for industry, medical and railways.

Metering transformers are used in the low voltage environment, mainly by energy producers and suppliers (EDF - 'yellow' meters ...). TCT offers various degrees of precision up to 0.2%, suited to all dimensions and all types of primary routing through the component (bar or electric cable).

These transformers are designed with a high level of insulation and a very low level of leakage. They are used in impulse generators and in so-called 'spark-gap' systems. These transformers can be found in electronic engine-ignition systems in the aviation sector.

These magnetic components are current-regulation transformers, used mainly in battery chargers. This old and tried-and-tested technology is still in use. It has the advantage of reducing the effects of interference compared with fully electronic technology.

These induction units are used for energy conversion, high-frequency induction coils, common-mode induction coils, and for ferrite, molypermalloy or iron-powder cores. TCT is involved in incorporating coiled magnetic components. On the basis of a specification, TCT can provide an optimized general electromagnetic solution focussed on selecting the right magnetic core, determining the coiled component with its constraints, designing the electronics needed in the application, implementing a specific check plan, designing intermediate and operational tests, performing customization, as well as executing product design and connector technology.
